About me

I am

Martin Vician

I am an open-source enthusiast with over 15 years of experience as a Linux power user. I am a strong advocate for immutable desktop systems and have been a long-term user of Fedora Silverblue alongside various other distributions. While I appreciate Linux on the desktop, I believe it remains the undisputed best choice for server environments.

Professionally, I am a Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) and a Specialist in Advanced Automation. Currently, I work as a Software Developer (focusing on Python and Go) for IBM MQ SaaS, where I build reliable and scalable cloud services. I have extensive experience working with cloud providers, primarily IBM Cloud and AWS.

I am passionate about Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and modern DevOps practices. I believe that infrastructure should be managed with the same rigor as application code, which is why I advocate for Test-Driven Development (TDD) in automation using tools like Molecule and Tekton pipelines.
